The Stompdrift Dam Water Resort provides the only
public access to the Stompdrift Dam with its “coastline”
of more than 25 km that cuts into the foothills of the Great
Swartberg Mountain Range. 6km from the hamlet of De
Rust and adjacent to Meiringspoort. Surrounded
by pristine hills and unspoilt vegetation it is home to more
than 2 500 plant species and 50 bird species.

Our unique chalets (KUDU, BOKKIE, PENS & POOTJIES
and INNIEMIKKE) are built with natural materials in true
African Safari style, and are all equipped with ensuite
bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette, private wooden deck
under trees with lapa and braai. |

Our FISH EAGLE BUSH CAMP was developed for true nature lovers. It is only reachable by boat and complete peace and quiet in nature is guaranteed. Accommodation is in five tents on elevated platforms in a Acacia karoo forest on the water’s edge. |

The WERFHOENDER SAFARI CAMP, built in the traditional
style of adventurers and explorers of yesteryear, is ideal
for family gatherings or larger outdoor groups. It consists
of 4 separate sleeping huts, large communal hut with
lounge, kitchenette, bathroom, large wooden deck under
trees, with private lapa and braai. Hot water is
supplied by a traditional "donkey" hot water system. |

The camping site, overlooking the dam, consists of three
lawn covered-terraces, shady trees and braais. Two ablution
blocks with showers. Shared power points.
